The Ocean Runner 2700 pumps 3500 L/hour or roughly 924 gal/hour.

I would look into the Danner Mad pumps with needle wheel impellers. Easy impeller to mod as well. And all kinds of pump sizes to choose from. If you have the money, maybe even Ehiems new pump.

Most of what your reading is from the salt water folks. I use plenty of there pumps, no problems. Freshwater tanks will have very little impact on normal wear and tear compared to reef folks. Any and all comments you read up on in the web will be reef tank related.

So if I used the
Mag-Drive 9.5 Specifications:
- Flow Rate: 950 GPH
- Power Consumption: 93 Watts
- Pump Size (L x W x H): 5.0" x 3.0" x 5.5"
- Outlet Size / Inlet Size: 3/4" MPT / 3/4" FPT

As the main circulation pump on a 64g could i connect my in line heater and my DIY filter to it also and have it all just work off this one pump?

I dont see why not. I would add a ball valve to give you some flow adjustments to work with on the outflow side of things. I use the same pump on my 120G and its pretty powerful.

I will be experimenting with this diffuser used inline prior to the pump.

I can only imaging good things happening with this configuration. I really cant think of a better way to get co2 into a large tank more efficiently.

Are you calling the Eheim 1262 needlewheel a new pump? I had three of them on a large skimmer for several years. But at $375 each, it's a hard nut to swallow.

Hmmm. The Ehiem variable GPH pump is fairly new, maybe a year or so..?

They are only $100 in come in 2 models.
