more than likely its the co2 level. pH fluctuations with co2 addition do not harm the osmotic balance in fish. Its possible they are not use to high levels of co2.
DO probes are something I would like to use in a planted tank. Hopefully DA will have them ready in a few weeks

Learn something new every day
![]() So the sudden change in ph would not stress them a little? What water paramteres would you want to acclimate a fish too? Temp, Hardness, 02 level, ph, N,p,k, other? What does upset the osmotic balance in fish? md |

Need one more option in the poll. Acclimate and into QT tank. I acclimate all mine but put them in a QT tank for 2 weeks using Melafix and Pimafix for 3 days to treat the fish for any diseases they may have as well as help with fin restoration and stress relief. I haven't lost 2 many fish doing it this way.

Um, every time I buy a quarantine tank, it ends up as a planted display within a few weeks...
