Default My next project: GLA's 91-B

Hey,

I'm starting to plan my first project of the year, as the tittle says it will be a GLA 91-B Iwagumi . My wife just started working last week since she got laid off a year ago so I'm short on cash but my plan is to have it set up in less that four months (I hope).

Here is what I have in mind and I'll need some suggestions:

Tank:
GLA 91-B 12gal

Light:
?????????????????

Substrate:
GLA's (But how much)

Hardscape:
I'll be going to Miami Tropical Bonsai, maybe they have some neat stones that I can use.

CO2:
Most likely will have to split the line going to my Mini-M and just hope that both tanks do well with the same BPS. (Or any other suggestions??)
DoAqua Music glass 30mm
CalAqua Nano Drop Checker

Filtration:
Eheim 2213 or 2215 (which?)
CalAqua Nano pipes

Dosing:
Pfertz N,P,K and Micros

Flora:
Since the plan is to have an Iwagumi I'll stick with only one plant for now and we'll see what the future brings.

Eleocharis Sp Bellem

Fauna:
RCS
Maybe some Malawi shrimp
Some CPDs
Some Class N Black Bar male Endlers

What you guys think?

Nice planning.. You will only need 1 T5HO bulb for this tank. Substrate maybe 2 bags? We will have 2 new soil substrates coming in by the time you ready

The 36" fixtures I've found; they all have two bulbs 2x39watts, that would be too much light or can they run with one bulb?

More than likely you will be able to use one switch, just leave one off..

Maybe I don't know what to look for but the T5HO fixtures that I found do not feature a double switch.
Can you give me a link or a sample of a light that could work on my set up?

Also I found this T5 NO:

Coralife F/W T-5 Aqualight Double Strip Light-36" - Lighting - T-5 Fixtures at BigalsOnline

(Would change the pink bulb for a 10.000k)

These are 2x21 watt T5 NO lights, it would give my tank 3.5wpg, but I'm not sure if they would be bright enough for high light plant w/ CO2 injection.

What do you think of the Aqualight T5 or should be better to look for T5HO?

Thanks
Monark

We have these lights that are NEW! They have one chord and 2 switches. The best part is they come stock with 8000K T5HO bulbs. You cant find these anyplace!

Those seem perfect and if they are coming from you they should be good, but how much it would be for the 36" fixture?

We only have Demo sets in right now. I have one left!

Right now I think the 36" light will be $159.99 with bulbs.. But I would need to double check that..
