Mainly t5 ho on my tanks. You can buy fixtures with good efficient ballasts and reflectors. And with the spectral quality of good t5 bulbs, you can grow most anything in an aquarium using very little electricity compared to fixtures made just a few years ago.

i stopped by Lowes last night and noticed that they now sell a generic 6.7K spiral CFL standard screw base also they now sell OTT brand CFLs that are standard screw base 25w actual for $5.98
