Default Transferring aquatic moss?

I cant be more specific to the species, but one of the local stores sells aquatic moss that is growing on a coconut shell cave. Is it possible to transfer the moss to something else? What would it grow on? How would you transfer it?

I figured it out. I couldnt figure out how to get it off the coconut, and then realized it was tied with a very fine nylon material. Came off easily after removing that. I tied it to my driftwood with monofilament fishing line.
