Even a small diffuser requires a lot of pressure to work. Not even blowing into it will release bubbles unless you have some mighty chops like Louis Armstrong. A lot of people with DIY CO2 end up resorting to those electrical diffusers that amount to a powerhead in a plastic pipe or something similar.

Those who I've seen reliably using a glass diffuser with DIY CO2 usually have a big reactor like a 2 gallon juice bottle or 4 or 5 smaller bottles all plumbed into each other.

What is your bubble count? When I see things like this its always to high of bubble count for the size of diffuser.

Have you tried 2-3 BPS? That video is of a Nano diffuser with a very low BPS. The lower the BPS, the finer the mist.

yes, i tried lower bubble counts. started off with 1bps, drop checker stayed blue. then went to 2-3, drop checker went to a dark green. then yesterday, i decided to see if i could get the drop checker a light green. 3-4bps seemed to do the trick.

i turned it back down. i probably don't need that much co2 in there anyway. the whole co2 thing is still new and i guess i wanted to see what maximum co2 levels looked like. lol

i just told myself that i'm still medium-low lighting and probably don't need to crank up the bubble count. hahaha, i still feel like a planted tank noob sometimes...

Your doing great, dont kid yourself. With low light lower BPS should be perfect...Just think of how much co2 you will be saving with 50% less BPS
