Post o2, overflows, and surface agitation

Ok, so I have been wondering:

If I have a tank with good circulation and use overflows w/ wet/dry filtration is there any need for surface agitation? Will the wet/dry by itself be enough to have enough o2 in the water column?

No need. The filter will take care of this. Co2 will be an issue but easily adjusted. I think surface agitation certainly helps with shimmer.
